Jayne S. Reuben is an Instructional Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Texas A&M University (TAMU) College of Dentistry. Dr. Reuben also has an adjunct appointment in the department of Medical Education in the TAMU College of Medicine. Dr. Reuben earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School in the department of Pathology. Dr. Reuben is a member of the INBDE test construction team as well as a CODA site visitor. In 2022, she was honored as a Fellow of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET). Dr. Reuben has served as the ASPET Division for Pharmacology Education (DPE) Chair and Program Representative and is also a fellow of the DPE Academy for Pharmacology Educators. She is a graduate of the ADEA Leadership Institute and currently serves as the councilor for the ADEA Section on Physiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics. She provides leadership and faculty development in program evaluation, curriculum design, delivery and assessment to enhance student learning and success. Her work uses learning science-based approaches to develop and evaluate activities that promote student metacognition and self-efficacy to enhance critical thinking and the application of biomedical and clinical sciences in health care practice.
